Dr Drake started his parient rounds with Mrs. Brown. He used his six digit pin number to access his first level of security on the PDA (screen 1). He then verified his identity using the fingerpirint reader to gain access to the second level of security which gave him access to patient records (screen 2). He read over the last entry of otes fro Mrs. Brown (screen 3), giving details of here current condition, before commencing his examination.
After examining Mrs. Brown, Dr. Drake updates the records using the voice input method. He first selects the add option to add notes, which moves him to a blank screen and then holds down the record button to verbally add notes (screen 4). The date and time are automatically appended to the notes.
Dr. Drake noticed a tick next to Mrs. Brown's notes indicating that her lab results were back and so sleects the option on the PDA to link to that database to check these rresults. The results come back instantly throught the PDA informaing the doctro that Mrs. Brown has a minor intestinal infection. Dr. Drake checks Mrs. Brown's notes to seee what drugs she is curently taking (screen 5) before selecting the drug formula option to access the drug formula (screen 6) and reference a suitable antibiotic for Mrs Brown.
