Install PWS/IIS

In order to run and test ASP pages on your machine you must have a server capable of processing them. We will use Internet Information Services with Personal Web Manager. IIS is not installed as part of the default Windows installation and you will have to install it before you proceed. If you have a C:\inetpub\ folder on your machine, IIS is already installed.

  1. Insert Operating System CD ROM
  2. Open Control Panel
  3. Click ‘Add/Remove Programs’
  4. Click ‘Add/Remove Windows Components’
  5. Click ‘IIS’
  6. Click ‘Next’
  7. Follow installation steps
